According to the NEMS Daily Journal, the concept of “Bring Your Own Technology” has arrived at Northeastern Mississippi school districts. As schools try to add more technology during a time when they are receiving less funding, many will begin to consider allowing students to use devices they already own.

Maryland district explores regulation of student and teacher social media use

Anne Arudel County school officials, like their counterparts elsewhere in Maryland, are struggling to draft rules governing how to use social media and to avoid its pitfalls, reports The Capital. The schools are currently working on guidelines, but must also be careful about the First Amendment implications.

Rock Hill school district officials will propose to the school board that elementary and middle school students be allowed to use their own laptops, smart phones and tablet computers in class, says a Rock Hill Herald report the Charlotte Observer.
