A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit has affirmed a district court’s decision granting judgment to a school district, ruling that the district did not deprive school security guards of property without due process of law when it terminated their employment without notice or hearing to outsource their positions.

Principals’ union sues Maryland district for $100M for discrimination

According to Gazette.Net, the Association of Supervisory and Administrative School Personnel has filed a federal class action suit against the Prince Georges County School Board and former Superintendent William Hite on behalf of the county public school system’s principals and administrators, charging they were fired or demoted under Hite due to age and race discrimination.

he Chicago Tribune reports that Bryan Craig, guidance counselor and former girls’ basketball coach at Rich Central High School, has filed suit in federal court against Rich Township High School District 227, charging he was terminated in violation of his free speech rights after writing a graphic book about relationships.

The Courthouse News Service reports that high school English teacher Natalie Munroe has filed suit in federal court against her school district and district officials, claiming the school district plans to terminate her in retaliation for her engaging in constitutionally protected speech.
