Continue reading...As reported by the Associated Press on denverpost.com, schools and parents suing Colorado over how it funds education are urging the state Supreme Court to uphold a lower court ruling that found the current system to be “irrational and inadequate.” The plaintiffs said in their recent filing that the way Colorado funds education prevents districts from teaching an up-to-date curriculum, puts low-income students at a disadvantage, and leaves buildings in some places unsafe.

Continue reading...Two female student-athletes at North Oldham High School (NOHS) in Goshen, Kentucky and their parents have filed a suit against the Oldham County Board of Education, according to Courthouse News Service, alleging use of NOHS’s fieldhouse, constructed in 2008, is restricted to male student-athletes in violation of Title IX.
