The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has sent a letter to Pennsylvania school district officials asking them to remove a stone monument displaying the Ten Commandments, which the New Kensington Fraternal Order of Eagles donated to the district decades ago, says the Valley News Dispatch.

School board says it did not place Ten Commandments display in Virginia high school

Responding to a suit over the display of the Ten Commandments at Narrows High School (NHS), the Roanoke Times reports that the Giles County School Board (GCSB) says that when it voted to allow an exhibit of the Ten Commandments and historical documents in county schools, it did so with the understanding that a private citizen would actually put up the display. GCSB insists no public funds were spent on the display and no school employees assist in placing it at the high school.
